GUIDE / REVIEWS

How to get more Google reviews

Practical, rules-compliant ways to ask for reviews, reply to negative ones and build a habit that lasts.

Ask at the right moment

The best time to ask is soon after a good experience, while it is fresh. A short, personal request works better than a generic message.

Make it easy

  • Share your direct review link from your Google Business Profile.
  • Put a QR code at reception or on aftercare cards.
  • Send the link by text or email after the appointment.

Stay within the rules

Google does not allow incentives for reviews, asking only happy clients (review gating), or posting reviews on someone’s behalf. Ask everyone fairly and let them write in their own words.

Replying to negative reviews

Reply calmly and briefly, thank the person, acknowledge the issue and offer to continue the conversation privately. Never share personal or treatment details in a reply.

QUESTIONS

Useful answers.
Before you decide.

Can I offer a discount for a review?

No. Google’s policies do not allow incentives in exchange for reviews.

Can I remove a bad review?

Only reviews that break Google’s policies can be reported for removal. Otherwise, a thoughtful reply is the best response.

How many reviews do I need?

There is no magic number. A steady flow of recent, genuine reviews matters more than a one-off burst.
